How To Get On Shark Tank From Coconut Girl

Coconut Girl Interview on DrewAversa Show

In this episode on the Drew Aversa Show, I interview Francheska Yamsuan, also known as Frankie, the founder of  COCONUT GIRL BRANDS. We discuss Frankie’s journey as an entrepreneur, and how to get on Shark Tank where she successfully secured an initial investment to expand her brand.

THE COCONUT GIRL BRAND STORY

Like many successful entrepreneurs, Frankie Yamsuan dropped out of UCLA to focus on one thing, creating the best plant based coconut dessert brand.

After selling her Coconut Girl plant based ice cream to friends in the fitness industry, and receiving positive feedback, Coconut Girl was more than just an idea, it was a brand that people loved.

Starting out with local sales, Frankie Yamsuan placed Coconut Girl ice cream in retail stores. Today, her brand is in 14 states with plans to keep on growing.

One of the fun things that happened on Frankie’s journey as an entrepreneur was ending up on the television show SHARK TANK

Pitching her idea, proven sales, and offering samples to the Sharks, Coconut Girl brands was a hit gaining an initial investment from MARK CUBAN at $180,000 for 20%

Knowing that Mark Cuban is a big fan of plant based foods given his focus on health, athletics, and other brands in this space, Coconut Girl brands ended up with the right Shark in Mark Cuban as an early investor.
