So here are some questions that I want you to consider based on this data. Do people have enough time to make it to therapy during work hours without having to have a formal disability accommodation. If they need to attend one to two times per month, can they go?
Can they get to therapy or is there some big process needed for them to get to go to therapy? If they tell you I need to go to counseling, do you support that? Yes, or no?
Does your company’s EAP offer more than a few free sessions to help someone when they’re brave enough to ask for help in need of support as I mentioned counseling can cost anywhere between 100 to 200 $.
Sometimes people are not covered by insurance depending if they click with a certain provider, they really like that person maybe they work with your insurance maybe they don’t so know that how can you help people when they need help and they are asking for help and they are committed to going to therapy to become the best version of themselves knowing these facts.
What can you and your organization do to better support people and is there an incident or management situation that you could have handled differently knowing some of this information and how prevalent different types of traumas are in our society?
So, take a few minutes. Pause the video and join me on the next slide when you’re ready to go.
