Men’s mental health is something that has a lot more focus on. Right now, we know that there are over 13 million men who report being depressed in America. One in four men spoke to a mental health professional. So, the question I always ask men in audiences is what are guys doing, what are guys doing to take care of their mental health and you will not be shocked by the answers because we hear alcohol. We hear a lot of other things and that’s how a lot of guys cope and from there we know that men are four times more likely to kill themselves so the suicide rate for men is a lot higher and this is something to be aware of because again in our culture, we don’t acknowledge the challenges men have, the pain men have and then we see the bad things that we don’t want to see right. We see them on the news stories, different things like that and it’s preventable. If we change our culture, we change our mindset and address these things and learn how to respond instead of react.
