Now that we’ve talked about some of the types of trauma. We want to talk about the awareness science. How do you know when somebody is stressed when they are undergoing the stresses and responses of trauma? Well, we can see those behavioral changes somebody who’s usually happy to sad or sad to overly happy all of a sudden. We can see pattern changes in people where people are not on time. We know that the research shows that most of the sick days out there are mental health days so companies now are finally talking about mental health.
Mental health is real and people do take time off. We just want to make sure that if they’ve been gone for a little bit. We check in on them, make sure that they’re okay and we also can see affect change when people are energetic, they have good energy and then they’re just flat like you don’t see any life in this person. It’s just blah so that’s what we mean by affect change avoidance. They’re not at networking events, different things that they typically would be at we’ve kind of gone you know missing relationship issues, divorce, breakups, volatility drama, coping mechanisms.
We talked about in addiction: eating, drugs, sex, alcohol, spending money, new toys, prescription pills. Again, legal drugs and illegal drugs, people can be doing prescription medications as well. So, these are things to be on the lookout for insomnia, people not sleeping and this is a big issue when it comes to safety which we’ll talk about a little bit physical change weight loss, weight gain. We can see people sometimes they have like a very puffy face that’s a lot of inflammation going on in the body and they just don’t look healthy and they used to look very healthy and high-risk activities, extreme sports, newfound fascination with guns. These are things to be on the lookout when you just go hmm something’s changed about this person. I can’t quite figure it out but some of these signs are usually present especially in the end when we go oh, wow, yeah. I did see that and that makes sense as to why this person’s on a stress leave right now or something like that.
