Want to know what to say, what not to say, and how to get your message out there in today’s media environment? On this episode of the Drew Aversa Show, I interview Fortune 500 communications expert Patty Deutsche.
Patty is a recognized Bay Area communications expert with more than 30 years of experience. Her career began in politics, as a political appointee in the Reagan Administration and, subsequently, as a Legislative Aide to US Senator Conrad Burns. Patty Deutsche then became a lobbyist for a Fortune 500 healthcare company and has since spent her career in communications. Working for companies like Deloitte & Touche, Cisco Systems, The Dow Chemical Company, Marathon Petroleum Corporation, and a boutique PR firm, she has provided expertise in the areas of corporate communications, crisis communications, community relations and public and government affairs.
Patty Deutsche serves on several boards including the East Bay Regional Park District Foundation and the East Bay Leadership Council, which she chaired in 2017-18. She also served as Chair of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce from 2018-19. In early 2020, Patty was appointed as a Commissioner to the Pleasant Hill Civic Action Commission.
Patty Deutsche is a sought-after public speaker, engaging and entertaining audiences with her speeches done all in rhyme. She is an avid golfer and is inspired by travel, wine and food…and often tries to combine all of those!
October 2020: Patty was honored to receive the Western States Petroleum Association (WSPA) 2020 Women of Wisdom & Influence award for exemplifying “courage in everything she does. She’s positive, dedicated, and constantly brings together diverse voices to guide a conversation and build consensus.”
